RETURN POLICY

We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.

We will issue store credit or exchange merchandise that is unused, with tags, in the same condition as the time of purchase and in the original packaging. Receipt of sale or proof of purchase is required.

If your return request is accepted, we’ll email you a return shipping label and the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.  Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Unfortunately, we don’t offer store credit or exchanges after 14 days or if the merchandise shows signs of use, damage, or is missing parts not due to our error. We can not issue store credit or returns for gift cards, any custom order merchandise, fabric or wallpaper orders.  Only regular priced items may be issued store credit or exchanged.

 Please note that return shipping charges are the purchaser’s responsibility unless the item received is incorrect or damaged. In that case, please contact us prior to sending the item back so we can provide you with a return shipping label and expedite your replacement order.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned such as custom products (special orders) and fabric or wallpaper orders. All original art, vintage or antique items, lighting and furniture purchases are final sale.  Please contact jen@gildedelephanthome.com if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

ORDER CANCELLATIONS

We accept cancellations on orders that have not been processed or shipped within 24 hours.  Please contact us at jen@gildedelephanthome.com
